Country superstar Carrie Underwood officially kicked off Sunday's No.1 show on prime-time television as her new opening theme for Sunday Night Football, premiered before the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants game.

The video features 13 NFL players, including Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, Aaron Rodgers, Larry Fitzgerald, Andrew Luck and DeMarcus Ware.

It marked the first time fans got to hear Underwood's new version of the theme song, "Waiting All Day For Sunday Night", taking over for Faith Hill, whose version was used for six seasons, and as usual, the 'American Idol' didn't disappoint.

Earlier this week, the star suffered a minor foot injury after falling on stage in five inch heels, but hopefully, she felt better when she learned that she made history as her 'The Blown Away Tour: Live' DVD, became the first video release by a female country artist to log three consecutive weeks in the No.1 spot on Billboard's Top Music Videos.

Underwood, 30, will keep a high profile on television throughout the fall. She'll co-host the CMA Awards on ABC in November and she also has the lead in a live production of 'The Sound of Music' that will air on NBC on December 5th. Watch her theme beneath:
