The votes are in, have been counted and the winner of the twelfth season of 'American Idol', which sees the departure of the last original judge Randy Jackson and all the other judges if reports are correct, has finally been revealed.
While it was a closely fought battle between Candice Glover and Kree Harrison, the 23-year-old from St. Helena Island, South Carolina bested the latter to claim the covet title. As a result of winning, the singer will release her new single, "I Am Beautiful", which can now be purchased on iTunes. Watch her winning moment beneath:
