Britney Spears Reveals 'Britney Jean' Cover

Pop queen Britney Spears revealed the personal title of her eighth album earlier this month and recently, she used social media to unveil the simple artwork for 'Britney Jean', which will hit stores on Tuesday, December 3rd.

The album is preceded by the lead single "Work Bitch" and she recently revealed that the Sia-penned ballad "Perfume" will serve as the disc's official second single with a November 5th release date set. Read her personal note to fans beneath:

Dear Fans,

I haven’t sat down to write you guys in SUCH a long time. Long overdue! We’re all so used to getting our thoughts out in 140 characters, but sometimes its nice to take time to sit down and write something a little longer and more personal. I am putting the finishing touches on my new album, “Britney Jean” over the next few days and I am so excited for you to hear it. I poured my heart and soul into this album and it’s been an incredible journey. I’ve learned a lot about myself, and as I am finishing, I am reminded of the incredible foundation that has supported me for the last 15 years. Thank you all for continuing to follow me on this journey and for allowing me to do what I love to do. I can’t believe this is my eighth studio album and I know I keep telling you that it is my most personal record yet, but its true and I’m really proud of that.

I have been through a lot in the past few years and it has really inspired me to dig deeper and write songs that I think everyone can relate to. Working with people like Sia, William Orbit, and of course Will.i.am has been an amazing experience. They have listened to all of my ideas and helped me bring them to life. There are a lot of really fun, upbeat dance songs, but it was important to me that I show my strength, and my attitude, and my vulnerability. Of course, I also have some surprises for you guys ;)

I want to show you the different sides of Britney Spears. I am a performer. I am a Mom. I am funny. I am your friend! I am Britney Jean.

Hope you love my labor of love!

Love Always,
Britney

During our hiatus, Bruno Mars unleashed the most provocative and sexually-charge video of his career with "Gorilla", the fourth (and my personal favorite) single lifted from his platinum-selling album 'Unorthodox Jukebox'.

The video, which features actress Freida Pinto as his love interest, showed a little bit of the creative spark that helped him book a headlining performance at the 2014 Super Bowl, which will take place in February. Watch the video beneath:

Halle Berry Boards CBS Drama Series, 'Extant'

Halle Berry photo Halle-Berry-Filming-5th-Avenue-Collection-February-2013-01.jpg

In one of the television's biggest castings, Halle Berry has signed on for the lead role in the forthcoming CBS drama series 'Extant', which has received a straight-to-series order from the network to be broadcast in the summer of 2014.

This is a big get for the network considering the actress, who won an Academy Award for her role in 'Monster's Ball', previously turned down big television roles in the past including 'Homeland' and the recently-aired drama series, 'Hostages'.

In the serialized series, which she will executive produce with Steven Spielberg, Berry will play "an astronaut who returns home from a year-long solo mission in space and tries to reconnect with her husband and son in their everyday life. Her experiences in space and home lead to events that ultimately will change the course of human history."

Read more about the casting, which includes a first-look deal for the superstar, beneath:

ACADEMY AWARD WINNER HALLE BERRY TO STAR IN "EXTANT"

Academy Award winner Halle Berry will star in EXTANT, a serialized drama from Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television and CBS Television Studios. In August, the CBS Television Network announced a straight-to-series order for EXTANT, to be broadcast in summer 2014.

In a thrilling drama, Berry will play an astronaut who returns home from a year-long solo mission in space and tries to reconnect with her husband and son in their everyday life. Her experiences in space and home lead to events that ultimately will change the course of human history.

“There's only one Halle Berry and we are incredibly honored that she has chosen EXTANT to expand her illustrious career,” said Steven Spielberg. “As she does with everything she touches, she will bring a deep authenticity to her role and I very much look forward to working with her.”

“Halle is the type of award-winning actress you dream of collaborating with for an event project such as EXTANT,” said Nina Tassler, President, CBS Entertainment. “Her talent and ability to immerse herself into every performance has created memorable roles that have resonated with audiences everywhere. It’s a big coup for CBS to have Halle star in her first television series, especially with such an exciting original concept and a role layered with mystery and humanity.”

“I'm always on the lookout for amazing roles and when you see material that contains this strong of auspices, nuance and complexity it compels me to run toward it no matter the medium. For five months a year I'll get to live with and play this incredibly intelligent and vulnerable woman, and for the remainder of the year I'll continue to look for other roles that move me as deeply as this one,” said Halle Berry. “I've found amazing partners in CBS's Nina Tassler and Les Moonves, and the incredible Steven Spielberg, along with his Amblin production team, whose vision and creativity in storytelling is unparalleled.”

In addition to EXTANT, Berry and her producing partner, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, have entered into a two-year, first look production deal with CBS Television Studios.

Berry won an Oscar in 2002 for her starring role in “Monster’s Ball.” Her additional feature film credits include playing Storm in the “X-Men” franchise, including the seventh installment, “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” to be released in 2014 and she also starred in the James Bond film “Die Another Day,” as Jinx. Berry started this year starring in the successful feature film thriller, “The Call,” for Sony/Screen Gems. Berry’s successes on television include her critically acclaimed and award winning role in HBO’s movie, “Introducing Dorothy Dandridge,” which earned her an Emmy, Golden Globe and SAG Award and her critically praised performance starring in the Oprah Winfrey produced "Their Eyes Were Watching God," which earned her both an Emmy and Golden Globe Award nomination.

EXTANT is a co-production of CBS Television Studios and Amblin Television. Steven Spielberg, Greg Walker, Mickey Fisher, who wrote the script, Brooklyn Weaver, Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank will serve as executive producers. Halle Berry will serve as co-executive producer. The series will be distributed domestically by CBS Television Distribution and worldwide by CBS Studios International. Berry is repped by Vincent Cirrincione and CAA.

Making history as the first rapper to score a solo cover, Jay Z graces the November 2013 issue of Vanity Fair in a suit and tie for what is being called the "most revealing" interview of his career. Not too hard, when you're soooo secretive...

In the publication, the hip-hop mogul shows off his smarts as he dishes on selling drugs, his wife Beyonce, their daughter Blue Ivy and why she is his biggest fan, and the dealing with the rumors that they used a surrogate. Read excerpts beneath:

On Selling Drugs:
"I know about budgets. I was a drug dealer. To be in a drug deal, you need to know what you can spend, what you need to re-up. Or if you want to start some sort of barbershop or car wash- those were the businesses back then. Things you can get in easily to get of [that] life. At some point, you have to have an exit strategy, because your window is very small; you're going to get locked up or you're going to die."

On Still Rapping in His Forties:
"I know I said I wouldn’t be doing it when I was 30, so that’s how I know I love it. Thirty years old was my cutoff, but I’m still here, 43 years old."

On Blue Ivy Being His Biggest Fan:
"She does like her mother's music - she watches [Beyonce's concerts] on the computer every night. But my album came out and I don't know if Blue ever heard any of my music prior to this album - she's only 18 months old and I don't play my music around the house. But this album was new, so we played it. And she loves all the songs. She plays a song and goes, 'More, Daddy, more... Daddy song.' She's my biggest fan. If no one bought the Magna Carta [album], the fact that she loves it so much, it gives me the greatest joy. And that's not like a cliche. I'm really serious. Just to see her - 'Daddy song, more, Daddy.' She's genuine, she's honest, because she's doesn't know it makes me happy. She just wants to hear it."

On Rumors He & Beyonce Used A Surrogate:
"I don't even know how to answer that. It's just so stupid. You know, I felt dismissive about it, but you’ve got to feel for her. I mean, we've got a really charmed life, so how can we complain? But when you think about it, we’re still human beings. Even in hip-hop, all the blogs—they had a field day with it. I'm like, We come from you guys, we represent you guys. Why are you perpetuating this? Why are you adding fuel to this ridiculous rumor?"

On Her Party-Free Lifestyle:
