Kris Allen photo KrisAllen-2.jpg

'American Idol' winner Kris Allen can now officially add the title of "dad" to his lengthy list of accomplishments. On Tuesday, July 30th, the 28-year-old crooner and his wife Katy welcomed their first child, a son named Oliver Neil Allen.

"Happy day!!!! My little stud was born today. Oliver is here people," the singer tweeted to his followers. The delivery was just what the doctored ordered for the singer, who released his stellar 'Thank You Camilla' album to dismal sales last year and was involved in a car crash in January that resulted in the multiple surgeries for the star.

The accident happened right around the time the couple announced they were expecting, with Allen saying: "I am really excited. I’ve always wanted to be a dad. My wife already started buying him clothes like me. He’s already got some [fedoras]." Congrats!

Putting her own spin on the tune, Underwood shows off her unmatched vocals and fiery attitude on the 45-second preview that leaves you wanting more in the best possible way. The full version can be heard when 'Sunday Night Football' kicks off on September 8th with the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys, but until then, listen to the preview.

Nelly has not had a easy time scoring a hit big enough to warrant the release of his seventh studio album 'M.O.', so after two failed singles, the St.Louis rapper recruits Nicki Minaj and Pharrell for his latest release, "Get Like Me".

The black-and-white video, which was directed by Collin Tiley, is more about the energy between the three stars, at least according to the Nelly, who has penciled in his album for a September 30th release. Watch the newly-released video and sound off beneath:

Ashanti Announces Another 'BraveHeart' Delay

Ashanti : BraveHeart (Promo) photo 3c47c28ef92011e2971f22000a1f8c25_7.jpg

The approach for Ashanti's fifth studio album, 'BraveHeart', has been one big giant mess from the beginning and has shown that her team clearly isn't competent enough to launch an album, but today (July 30th), the campaign sunk even further into the ground with an untimely announcement by the Grammy-winning songstress.

"Hey y’all! So Braveheart is NOT coming out today we have clearances & legalities to take of… It costs to be the boss!!! This CEO sh*t is Not A Game! Lol looking like September," the 32-year-old wrote on a new Instagram post featuring a newly-released and absolutely stunning promotional photo for the much-delayed set. The album may be one big joke at this point, but the artwork this era, ranks as the best of her career.

Despite 'The 20/20 Experience' still occupying a place in the top 10 and standing as the biggest-selling album of 2013, Justin Timberlake is ready to move on to the second installment and as a result, he has released the video for "Take Back the Night".

The Michael Jackson-inspired single is the first lifted from 'The 20/20 Experience (2 of 2)', which will be released on September 30th, and the video also seems to play on some of his idol's past work. Watch the new video and spot the MJ similarities beneath:

R&B vocalist Chante Moore returned to records stores today (July 30th) with 'Moore Is More', her sixth solo studio album (eighth overall, given she released two with ex-husband Kenny Lattimore), but if you were on the fence about purchasing it or not, the full album has been made available to help you come to a final decision.

The album, which is preceded by the single "Talking In My Sleep", is a therapeutic process for Moore, who told Soul Music: "I am having fun being able to sing about things that I can’t talk about. There are break-up issues and emotions that I feel regarding my last marriage. There’s lots of things that just aren’t even proper to even say out loud, except I can sing about them because it just makes more sense". Listen beneath:

Katy Perry Unveils Album Title & Release Date

Katy Perry photo Katy-Perry-Mike-Ruiz-Photoshoot-2009-7.jpg

Katy Perry knows how to make a big statement. Instead of using the traditional methods to announce her new album, the 28-year-old superstar utilized a giant golden truck to reveal the album title and the forthcoming disc's release date.

The giant golden truck with "Katy Perry - Prism - 10-22-13" bolstered on its sides, top and back was spotted in Los Angeles, California on Monday, July 30th, and was pointed out on Twitter by the singer's pal Adam Lambert. In April, Perry revealed that she was hard at work on the 'Teenage Dream' follow-up, with Max Martin, Dr. Luke and Greg Wells. More details on the project are scheduled to be revealed in the coming weeks.

Normally when singers choose to tell the story of their rise from rags to riches some lyrical substance is involved, but leave to R. Kelly, who stands as one of R&B's greatest, to take the formula and completely water it down on his new single, "My Story".

Featuring rapper 2 Chainz, the single, which he previewed during his performance at the 2013 BET Awards, is set to be featured on his forthcoming album 'Black Panties', which follows his 2012 misfire 'Write Me Back'. Listen to the generic single beneath:

Shortly after confirming that the title of her new single is "Applause", Lady GaGa issued her fans yet another gift by revealing the accompanying artwork, which was shot by the video's directors Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin.

Of the single, which was co-written by DJ White Shadow and will premiere on August 19th, the 27-year-old superstar says: "In my heart of hearts as I was writing, I knew that if I asked [the fans] to cheer for me before I sang or if I alluded to the fact that they would cheer for me before I sang....They do that all the time for me; before I even open my mouth, the fans start cheering for me. And so this exclamation, 'Give me that thing that I love. Give it to me. I’m ready, start the music.' I'm from New York. I've worked since I was a five-year-old to be a performer. All my life. I deserve to be here. I'm ready."

The singer has already lined up her first performance of the single at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards on August 25th and her third studio album, 'ARTPOP', will be massively rolled out into stores on November 11th courtesy of Interscope Records.

Ashanti Performs 'Never Should Have' On 'Katie'

It has been nearly two years since Ashanti announced that her fifth studio album, 'BraveHeart', would be released independently and now, the singer is learning the hard way that to be a factor in the industry you need a major label behind you.

For her appearance on 'Katie', the struggling songstress performed her latest single, "Never Should Have", which has failed to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 despite being featured on seventh season finale of 'Army Wives'. Watch her performance beneath:

TLC Bring Out Lil Mama At VH1 Mixtape Festival

The surviving members of TLC welcomed Lil' Mama, who portrays fallen member Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopes in the upcoming television movie 'CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story', to the stage for their performances at the VH1 Mixtape Festival.

After T-Boz and Chilli lip-synced their way through some of their past material, the 23-year-old appeared during "No Scrubs", where she mimed the part originally rapped by Lopes and out danced both of the founding members. While she fits in with the group nicely, it simply does not make any sense to have her there if she is just going to pretend to do her Left Eye's parts. With her new album 'Moore Is More' set to be released on Tuesday (July 30th), the stunning 46-year-old has issued the official track listing for the forthcoming studio set, which will be independently released through Shanachie Entertainment. Lil' Kim has yet to release a follow-up to her critically-acclaimed 'The Naked Truth' album and it doesn't seem like she plans to anytime soon. Instead, the iconic female emcee has announced a new mixtape, 'Hard Core: Back 2 Da Streetz'.

The newly-announced mixtape plays off of her legendary debut album 'Hard Core', which was released in 1996 and made history at the time as the highest debut for a female rap album on the Billboard 200. The album debuted at No.11 on the all-genre chart and went on to be certified double-platinum by the RIAA.

When Drew Sidora, Lil' Mama and Keke Palmer were initially cast as TLC, the most successful R&B group of all-time, it left a bad taste in the mouth of a bulk of the trio's fans, but if the first preview is any indication, the casting was spot on.

The original television movie, which will air on VH1 in October and sees surviving members Tionne 'T-Boz' Watkins and Rozanda 'Chilli' Thomas serve as executive producers, will chronicle their success, bankruptcy, illness, fights and the unexpected death of original member Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopes. "As rappers, sometimes we try to play with words and be so clever and we take pride, but in this particular instance, it wasn’t clever, it was actually offensive," Cole said to co-host Sherri Shepherd, who happens to have an autistic. "The more I educated myself, the more embarrassed I got about it." Watch his performance of the show beneath:

Fifth Harmony Light Up 'The Today Show'

Fifth Harmony, who placed third on the sophomore season of 'The X Factor', lit up the stage in their first televised performance of their brand new singles, "Miss Movin' On" and "Me & My Girls", on 'The Today Show', on Thursday, July 18th.

Both singles are expected to featured on their upcoming studio album, which has yet to be titled and will hit stores via Epic Records later this year. Performances beneath:

US Charts: Jay-Z Takes 'Magna Carta Holy Grail' To No.1, Ciara's Comeback Falls Short

Jay-Z / Ciara photo ciarajay.png

Despite his unorthodox approach, uncounted Samsung sales and not a single televised performance, Jay-Z defied the odds and sold a whopping 528,000 copies of 'Magna Carta Holy Grail' in its first week of release to land his 13th leader.

Ciara, on the other hand, lands at No.2, but with measly sales that only totaled 59,000 copies, which does mark a vast improvement over the 37,000 that bought her last album, 2010's 'Basic Instinct'. Still, the low figure is quite disappointing considering her heavy promotional campaign that included a week-long residency on '106 & Park'.

Billboard 200

01. Jay-Z - 'Magna Carta Holy Grail' (528,000)

02. Ciara - 'Ciara' (59,000)

03. J. Cole – 'Born Sinner' (40,000)

04. Florida Georgia Line - 'Here's To the Good Times' (33,000)

Marking her third trip down the aisle, Academy Award-winning actress and expectant mom Halle Berry, 46, married French film star Olivier Martinez, 47, at the Chateau des Conde in Vallery, France on Saturday (July 13th), her rep confirms.

The actress was previously married to baseball player David Justice and singer Eric Benet, and after both marriages ended in divorce due to infidelity, the jaw-dropping beauty vowed to never walk down the aisle again, telling Oprah Winfrey in a 2004 interview, "I will never marry again", and repating those comments to InStyle in 2007.

Halle Berry Is Married

Never say never. Halle Berry is a bride once more.

The expectant Oscar-winner, 46, wed French film star Olivier Martinez, 47, Saturday at the Chateau des Conde in Vallery, France, her rep officially confirms to PEOPLE.

The ceremony took place in a small chateau, where, in accordance with French law, a civil union was held (at 4 p.m.), followed by a religious ceremony at 5:30 at the chapel in the village.

Among the 60 people, mostly close friends, in attendance were the groom's mother Rosemarie and brother Vincent. Dinner was held under an arbor, and there was a fireworks display.

Six years ago the Oscar winner told InStyle, "I will never, never get married again." But four days ago the duo boarded a flight to Paris with Berry's daughter, 5-year-old Nahla.

The pair met in 2010 while co-starring in Dark Tide. Although the movie was a flop, their chemistry has been red-hot ever since their romance spilled off-screen.

"She has called him 'The One,' " says Sophie Dulac, president of the Champs-Elysées Film Festival, which the couple attended together in Martinez's native Paris last month. "She's said she never expected to meet this Frenchman, to fall in love like she has."

"They seem truly in love," Dulac also said. "I've known Olivier very well and have never seen him like this."

The crinkle-eyed Frenchman proposed in early 2012 and presented Berry with an emerald engagement ring by Paris designer Robert Mazlo.

In April, the couple revealed they're expecting their first child together – a boy – early this fall, an unexpected joy Berry has called "the biggest surprise of my life." The baby will join big sister Nahla, Berry's daughter with ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubrey.

This marks Berry's third trip down the aisle. She was previously married to baseball player David Justice in the early 1990s and to singer Eric Benét in the early 2000s.

This is a first marriage for Martinez, who previously dated singer Kylie Minogue.
